Inside a year, the city of Juazeiro, in the north of the Bahia, is going to produce juices of fruits. With that objective, Casa Valduga, traditional family Italian producer of wines and fruit’s derived, signed a protocol of intentions with the Government of the State for implant in the town an industry of natural juices, concentrated and jam.
The implementation of the unit involves investments of nearly US$ 5 millions. “We are making real the dream of the population of the Vale do São Francisco, to industrialize the output of fruits of the region”, said the state secretary of the Agriculture, Eduardo Salles.
Bahia’s Governor, Jaques Wagner, remarked the industry is going to work joined with the family agriculture, absorbing the output of the small farmers.
“The small producers are of big importance for us. With the installation of this unit, they will have guaranteed money and better quality of life. We intend to extend the output of fruits of the Vale do São Francisco and the commercialization through the partnership established between government of the Bahia, city hall of Juazeiro, Special Fruit and Casa Valduga”, affirmed the director president of the Special Fruit, Suemi Koshiyama.
