Bahia receives for the first time the World Arc, one of the biggest world cruising events. The 75 teams should arrive to the Nautical Terminal of Salvador between the days 28 of this month and 8 of February.
The rally, in the Adventure Cruiser style, cross the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans, passing for Saint Lucia, Panama, Ecuador, Polynesia French, Island Cook, Niue, Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu, Australia, Indonesia, Mauritius, Reunion, South Africa, Saint Helena, Brazil and Granada.
The boats, of 45 to 76 feet, come from the Ireland, Spain, Swiss, Canada, Portugal, England, United States, Mali and Holland. Since 2007, this is to ninth international regatta that arrives to the Nautical Terminal of Salvador.
