Former Brazilian Central Bank’s Chairman to coordinate Rio 2016 works

The former president of the Brazilian Central Bank Henrique Meirelles is being valued for assume the presidency of the Olympic Public Authority (APO, for its acronym in portuguese), organ required by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for the organization of the Olympic Games of the Rio de Janeiro in 2016, according to Brazilian weekly magazine Veja.

His function will be charge terms and avoid overbilling.  The president of the APO is going to receive a salary of R$ 22.100,00 (US$ 14.000) monthly, and will control a budget of around R$ 30 billions (US$ 19 billions).
