Rio, Salvador Among Host Cities of Fifa Confederations Cup Brazil 2013

The matches of Fifa Confederations Cup Brazil 2013 are going to be disputed in the cities of Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, Salvador and Porto Alegre, announced today Brazilian TV Globo. The biggest and richest city of the country, São Paulo, should stay out of the competition because will not have an adequate stadium by the FIFA’s standards until the beginning of the tournament.

Brazil, the host country, Spain, last World Cup winner, and Japan, last AFC Asian Cup winner, are already qualified. Other five regional champions coming from Europe, North and Central America, South America, Africa and Oceania must join them.
