Brazil, China to Sign Currency Swap Agreement

Brazil and China will sign tomorrow (26) currency swap agreement. Finance Minister Guido Mantega and Central Bank President Alexandre Tombini, will attend the ceremony of signing of the currency swap agreement with the Central Bank of China (People’s Bank of China) in Durban, South Africa

It will also be entered into a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Finance of Brazil and the Ministry of Finance of China. After the ceremony, the ministers will give a press conference on the agreements, at noon, local time.

Mantega and Tombini participate in Durban, the summit of the BRICS, a group of five emerging countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
